Just Digging for Treasures Mama

So this might be the phrase Aunt Rachie taught Mr J while she was visiting last weekend.  As you might imagine, he was using his finger in a particular place with the perfect fit on his face.  His mother wasn't happy with me.  Especially since he has said it a couple of times every day since.   Well...that's what aunts do!

 

I Peeked

I couldn't help myself. I am busily trying to finish my current work but I could not resist a peek. My trip to Utah was all about reconnecting with friends who feel like family....and family too. I hope you get excited B, J, and E! Click here for more good stuff on this family. They hope to expand their little clan stat!! Yes...that means immediately! This will only make sense after you read their blog....but I was adopted and would be happy to be adopted again by these people. Oh wait....I already was! Miss B's family took me in as one of their own while I was living in Idaho. Couldn't be nicer peeps!

It Couldn't Wait

I am traveling and having a ball whilst taking a plethora of photos.  For those of you that don't know....these girls are family.  Extended family twice removed I think.  My goal with the first photo was to try to recreate a picture of my father's mother who's name was Cumorah Jones Brinton.  The first time I met Miss Riley was at a family reunion quite a few years back.  I thought then the family resemblance was uncanny.  It's the eyes...the eyes my father and siblings share.  The same eyes I see in several of my nieces and nephews.  The eyes accompanied by the full round cheeks.  I love it.  There are five generations that separate my grandmother and Miss Riley.  It hardly seems possible.  If you are related to Grandma Brinton....how did I do???
